Dear PFAC Conference Attendee:
We’re just one week away from the conference and look forward to seeing you in Monterey! CLICK HERE for final planning details that will be helpful to you in preparation for the conference and on-site.
Also, we’re trying something new this year. When you check in for the conference, you’ll receive a packet of session outlines and a writing tablet. The session handouts are now posted online on a secure section of the website and are available ONLY to conference attendees at this time. The link will be emailed to all conference attendees on April 17th and on April 22nd. This allows you to view handouts in advance and, if desired, print and bring those you want to have with you for the sessions you plan to attend. The link will also be available to you during and after the conference (thru August 31, 2013) for viewing, printing or downloading handouts as desired. We will NOT have printed copies for you on-site so, if having more than just an outline in front of you during sessions is important to you we suggest printing and bringing with you or having an 3G/4G iPad or Tablet with you in the sessions in order to access them online.
If you have signed up for a pre-conference intensive session, you will receive an email before end of day Friday confirming your participation and providing final details. If you don’t receive an email but believe you have registered, please email edill@amgrou.us on Monday to confirm.
As was done in 2012, each attendee will have a bar code beneath their name on their conference badge for CE attendance record & certificate purposes. This bar code will be scanned at conference check-in and at the entry of each session where CE and/or MCLE credits are available. This will eliminate the need for you to fill out attendance forms at each session attended. YOU are responsible for making sure your badge gets scanned for each credit session you attend. Certificates confirming attendance and units gained will be produced by PFAC staff and mailed to attendees no later than May 15th.

Pre-Conference Intensive Sessions:Two sessions will be offered from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24th. The cost for each session is $125 and includes materials/refreshments. 3.0 CE credits will be earned if you participate. If you would like to take advantage of one of these sessions, sign up when you register for the conference. On-site registration on a space available basis only.
Guest Meal Tickets: If you are registering for the conference, all conference meals are included and there is no need to purchase meal tickets for yourself. If you are bringing guests and would like to include them in a meal, tickets will be on sale at the conference. Prices are as follows:

Reservations: Make your reservations online at https://resweb.passkey.com/go/PFAC2013 or call Hyatt Reservations at (888) 421-1442 and mention you are with “PFAC” to secure the group rate. Reservations must be made by 5:00 p.m. on April 8, 2013 in order for the group rate to be honored but we encourage reservations as early as possible to ensure availability as the group block could sell out at any time. The group rate is good three days prior to and three days following the conference based on availability.
IMPORTANT UPDATES
Due to the Big Sur Marathon being scheduled for Sunday, April 28th AFTER we contracted with the Hyatt Monterey, room availability for Friday, April 26th is now limited. Saturday, April 27th is now available only at a higher rate. The hotel has plenty of rooms available during the week through Thursday night, April 25th.
If you book after the remaining Friday night block at the Hyatt fills you have two options:
Book with Hyatt through Thursday night, April 25th and then book and move to the overflow hotel on Friday, April 26th for your remaining nights.
Book with the overflow hotel for your entire stay.
An overflow block of rooms has been set up at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1000 Aguajito Road, Monterey, California, 93940. The Hilton is less than half a mile or two NY city blocks from the Hyatt and walkable (allow 5 to 7 minutes). We will also schedule one pick up and one drop off shuttle daily for those who prefer or need to ride.
To make your reservations at the Hilton Garden Inn, call 831-373-6141, select Option 1 and ask for the “PFAC” rate or go to the Hilton Website at www.monterey.hgi.com and refer to Group Code: PFAC. The $169 plus tax rate will be honored.
Room Rate: $169 plus 10% occupancy tax and a $1,15 fee per day (note: 2013 rack rate is $329 or above). Rate is based on single/double occupancy. Triple occupancy is $194 and quad occupancy is $219.Resort Services Program: Includes in-room bottled water, local phone calls, 800 number calls, retail discount (10% off merchandise in gift, golf and tennis shops), comp tennis court time and golf bag storage, comp self service laundry, comp internet in the guest rooms and comp parking. The standard fee of $20 per night is waived for PFAC.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Rooms MUST be booked into the PFAC block and at the PFAC rate in order for the resort services fee to be waived.
Cancellation: Should you find you need to cancel your reservation, please do so at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid a cancellation fee (one night room & tax).
Check-In/Out Time: 3:00 p.m./12:00 p.m.
Airport: We suggest flying into the Monterey Airport (MRY). It’s the local airport but has limited flights. If that is not an option for you, we suggest the San Jose Airport (SJC) which is approximately 70 miles or 75 minutes from Monterey.
Ground Transportation: The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the Monterey Airport. Call the hotel upon arrival for pick up. A shuttle from the San Jose Airport is approximately $40 each way. Additional details will be provided soon.
Parking: Self parking is complimentary (wrapped into resort fee) for both overnight and day guests.
Internet:PFAC has negotiated complimentary wireless internet access in the guest rooms. Internet access in the lobby is complimentary.
